The Godox S-Type Speedlite bracket is the hub, that opens the door of an ecosystem of light modifiers for your on-camera flash. It is simple and versatile, no need to have a cold shoe to mount your Speedlite. The S-Type uses a non-scratching, light pressure tightening mechanism to secure your flash. In the front, depending on the brand’s mount you choose to buy, you have the option to attach a wide range of light modifiers. I’m using the Bowens mount version, and there are also versions for Comet and Elinchrom.

The bracket is made of hard plastic so it’s lightweight but it doesn’t feel cheap. If you are still using the old umbrella bracket with the cold shoe mount, you will be amazed the day you decide to upgrade to the S-Type bracket. Believe me, you will notice the difference right away.

The S-Type bracket is like a plug ‘n play device. Secure your flash and start shooting.

A Bowens speedring allows you to use your on-camera flash with a softbox. But, I wouldn’t recommend using a heavy softbox with this setup. Experiment before you go out on a shoot first.

This is my small Photoflex Litedome with the S-Type bracket.

As always if you have any questions feel free to leave a message below. Happy shooting.
